New manager

MPR - I assume you were a Scott fan? To that I would ask a simple question, how many games (roughly or in total) had Scotty managed at any level before taking the Slough job?

Ex-pro footballer, Lloydy is loaded RR, private jet all the way.

If I remember rightly from listening to rebels radio MPR wanted Scott out as well.

As a Slough Rebel, I just want the club to move forward, but we seem to be moving backwards. People have said to give AJ a chance, but you have to give me someone who is credible. His record at this level stinks, and he will relegate Slough if we are not careful. I would of liked a manager who has played for Slough and has experience of this league, Alan Dowson who is now at Hampton & Richmond, or managers like Scott Rendell, Scott Bartlett, Ricky Holmes, Lee Allinson (before his move to Dagenham) or if we couldn't afford those exploring managers who were in the league below play-offs, like Chris Devane at Berkhampstead or Rob Sinclair over at Real Bedford and also consider ex-Slough players who can put a new energy in the side with fresh ideas, Lloyd Owusu (was more in hope) or Steve Thompson, Mark Fiore, Andy Sayer, Paul McKinnon and Ian Hazel to name a few possible options. We need to put the heart beat back into Slough and the community.

Yes, there were times when I wanted Scott out, for a more experienced and progressive manager who could move the club forward, but we have now chosen a manager with a worst record than Scott's, which has now made us favourites for being relegated from the National South.

Hate to break it to you MPR, but no manager is going to move the club forward on a rumoured budget of £200k, when every other club in the league appears to be in excess of £500k.

If we're going to hark back to players from the 90s, let's get Les Briley back!

No thanks, he did get us relegated 😂

This reminds me of a player we had about 25 years ago who I'm sure commuted to training and matches from Scotland. I think it might have been Dylan Kerr?

Correct and all compliments of Mr Deaner! No wonder he kept running out of money…
