FA Cup 3rd round qualifying - Oxford City (away)

This time last year Oxford City were struggling on the pitch. Spark Strategic Partners completed their acquisition in April 2026, and CEO Justin Merritt said Spark had already made money available from January, enabling Oxford to recruit players who transformed their season. The company is now 100% owned by Spark. Oxford City's wage budget is now said to be about £11,000 per week - hence why they're already pushing for promotion to Step 1.

How’s everyone feeling about tomorrow? Oxford City are Flying high in NLN let’s hope they’ve overlooked us, and thinking about the next round!!

Not sure of the difference in standard in the north and south National leagues but always heard the north is  stronger.

But I’m hoping we hold our own and play as we have been because it’s been a cracking start and we look really good don’t you think?

But I’ve got good vibes about it and Billy comes across as very confident and it definitely must rub off on the players, I reckon we’re have over 300 supporters there tomorrow and I’m one of them.

Come on you Towner’s

New owners have been heavily funding them this season. Their budget is much bigger than ours. The artifical surface could suit us though

If we're as clinical as we were at the start of the season then we've got half a chance. I can guarantee there will be goals. Billericay definitely took us lightly and rested a couple at the back. It doesn't look like Oxford will take the same chance - and they've got a couple of giants in the centre of defence. If they've watched us against Cray and Dartford then I'd expect a high press and really putting us under pressure. They'd be crazy to stand off us and let ABM weave his magic in midfield.

Over to Billy and boys!

It would be so good to finally get through the next two rounds to get that 1st round proper for the first time wouldn’t it!.

The draws we’ve had the last two rounds would make it even more special , but let’s see what happens, Feel like Billy’s the one to make it happen 🤞

The prize money from making the First Round proper £36k+ plus share of the gates, could be season-altering given the size of our budget - allowing Billy to strengthen in 2 or 3 positions when injuries strike and the squad becomes stretched. Its nice to dream...!
