Ryman League applicants for next season....

Recommended Posts

I have just seen on the non-league papers website a list of teams who have applied to join the Southern League (Dr.Martens) next season which shows that quite a few league leaders have not applied like Buckingham Town(United Counties), Wimborne Town(Wessex), Bideford(Western/FA Vase Semis), Chichester City(Sussex), Didcot Town(Hellenic) and AFC Sudbury(Eastern Counties/FA Vase Semis).

So was wondering who have applied for the Isthmian(Ryman) from The feeder leagues guessing AFC Wimbledon have but what about other clubs.....

I have not seen the article, but with the Essex Senior Leagues history of success promoting teams from there league into the Ryman, I would be shocked if say Ilford or Enfield don't wish to join. Correct me if I am wrong Mr Happy, but the only reason you did not come up then was the rules rather than Enfield not wanting to.

Is there a mention of Essex Senior League, I only buy the NL when we (The Iron) win on a Saturday.

Andy,

Last season, I saw Enfield play mid week, it was the game they were crowned champions on the pitch and walloped 3rd place Ilford 7.1 (I think the score was) remember speaking to some of the Enfied boys and telling them that we at Braintree had visited the Ryman League Braintree a couple of months previously and that the gate was just over 100 that night, the New Enfield must have had at a guess 300 travelling fans

From memory I think it was a Thursday night game, trying to fit them in at the end of the season. Braintree Town had already completed their fixtures so I saw Enfield on the Thursday and Hibs V Motherwell on the Saturday.

Sorry typing error should have typed
We at Braintree had visited the Ryman League Enfield a couple of months previously and that the gate then was about a 100.
The Ilford V Enfield game the New Enfield had at a guess 300 travelling fans.

Mark. Although I do feel some sympathy towards all those at EFC, ETFC are the team to watch. We have done so much in such a short space of time that some people think we will be European Champions within the next 10 years!

Seriously though, we are a supporters owned club with each society member having one equal share of the club. We have worked tremendously hard to get the ground up to Ryman B standard and hope that we are part of the reorganisation this summer so that we can move up a level.

Gates are good and we have, as Southport Towner says, a good following to each away game.

Here's looking forward and hopefully to Ryman One North! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

They are the branch away club from Enfield FC, some bust up with a chairman or something, meant that supporters set up Enfield Town, probably so there was a club IN Enfield...not in Boreham Wood. I AM NO WAY EDUCATED IN THE MATTER, THIS IS JUST HEARSAY, PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG ETFC FANS!?
