Victory on Saturday, together with defeat or draw for Leigh, and defeat for Farnborough, would leave us only 2 points from mathematical safety, which could then be achieved by a win at Leigh next Tuesday.

 

That would be good news, as it would allow the players to relax for the last 6 games, with the only issue then being huow high we can finish.

 

If we string together a few wins, 10th is a real possibility and whilst its unlikely, even Accrington, Stevenage and Morecambe could just about be overhauled.

 

That said, wherever we finish, we've put the pundits in their place again this season, especially those who believed we were relegation certainties after the first six games had brought only 3 points.

Even at Christmas 'Fat Boy' Sinton had us down for relegation in a column he did for the Non League Paper. Way things are looking we could finish above Burton which would really blow a hole in his punditry skills.

According to Confguide he was released by Burton a couple of weeks ago!

Probably for some of those comments he made in the NL paper, he reckoned we'd miss the attacking threat of Ade Pennock, what a fool.

Only thing now is to match our achievements, with going full time, and maybe a nicer ground?
