2 year contracts

Are the two new signings from Margate the only players to have 2 year contracts at the Fleet. From what I've read in the media, and on the website don't believe any other player is contracted for the next two seasons. Maybe taking a chance with the Margate players, although of course they are more experienced than Gradley and McClements.

Football being football players prefer to take 1 year contracts and not risk being signed to a club that goes 'pete tong'!!!!! Football is ruled by Money im afraid.......

Andy is quoted as saying in this week's Reporter that Porter's deal is only for one year.

How many of the squad are still to sign contracts?

I'm unsure as to the situation as regards Lee, Gledhill and Mitten,if indeed they are still negotiating.

Gledhill and lee are contracted for next year acoording to the reporter a few weeks ago

As for Mitten, this week's Reporter said that he is still in talks with Andy over a contract, as is the Fridge.

Rouse has also signed. I think the jury's still out on him. He looks to be a skilful player and could be quite an entertainer, but I'm not entirely sure about his defensive capabilities yet.

Obviously you couldn't have seen him against Northwich. Not Conference level I'm afraid

Rouse still has the mental image that he is better than those he is playing against, like he must have been at Fisher. He was culpable of giving the ball away too often against Northwich and trying Big Ron style "hollywood balls". If he does the simple things he could be a good squad player.

Roy Essendoh didn't look too clever in his first match for us either.... its a bit harsh judging anyone on one appearance especially a young lad playing in the final game of the season.

Rouse looked pretty good against Dagenham when he came on, and it wasn't like he was the only one not to turn up against Northwich.

That's where you're wrong Pal. If Eddie McClements, and Pat Gradley can't make the grade with us (both good players IMO) then I can't see Rouse doing so either.

You worry about the players, you really want to sort your ground out. It looks more like a farmyard than a football pitch. One thing us Canvey supporters can be guaranteed is 6 points next season. The only players you seem to like are the old ones coming to the end of their careers. When Bullard was there, a lot of you didn't like him, but look at him now, playing for Wigan. If I was a pigeon, I'd fly over Northfleet and Gravesend's ground tomorrow.
