Well, thats what the headline in ths weeks Reporter gave me - and a few others, no doubt!!

 

It read "Macca snubs Fleet".

 

Turns out, they werent talking about OUR Macca, but Paul Mccarthy, The Northern Ireland international who, having been released by Oxford, opted for Hornchurch rather than ourselves.

 

Dont do that again though, please, Reporter !!

Chas Webster excepted, most of the hacks on the Reporter appear to know little or nothing about the Fleet.

Seems there are stacks of cash at hornchurch I refereed their in the late 80s and it was an awful place, does anybody know who is bank rolling them?

Hornchurch, like Grays, have been splashing the cash in large quantities in recent seasons, trying to buy their way up the pyramid. As we all know at no matter what level, be it Hornchurch and Grays or Leeds Utd and Chelsea, cash alone doesn't buy success. Lots of hard work along with wise investments in players, season in and season out, is the only way to do it.

 

We are so lucky to have Andy and Brian running this club side by side.
