who`s gonna win it

You've always got to have Aldershot in the frame, even though they seem to blow themselves out just after Christmas. But they are such a big club they are going to make it one day. Next season? Who knows.

Canvey will be somewhere in there because that is the ambition of the club and the manager (yes, yes, groan on about BFJ and all his money) and again, they will do it one day.

Grays will be in the running next season but although you might stand a chance of winning with ex-Southend players I don't think you stand a chance with ex-Canvey players. They'll have some good results but they won't have stamina.

Billericay always start with a hover around the top slot but again, they fade away too early. However, I've got a feeling in my water that next season could be their big chance.

Braintree did exceptionally well last season and if they can maintain that sort of momentum, well, who knows.

Although Bedford came good towards the end of last season there would have to be a major improvement to sustain that style of winning for the entire forthcoming season. I can't see it happening myself.

Purfleet - no chance. I don't think they are a big enough club. Very poor support and not much ambition. A good hotel side (and a Canvey bogey team), but little else - sorry.

Whatever else, it won't be a two horse race. My money is on Canvey. (1) they're my team and I support them and, (2) pipped at the post twice, Jeff won't let it happen again.

Sutton by a mile carjam? They've as much chance as neighbours Kingstonian and thats not much, I'd say Hayes and Aldershot must be favourites, I think we'll see a few Essex

teams up their, like Billericay, Braintree, Grays and maybe Purfleet, Canvey have had enough bites at the cherry and blown it, I'd pick Bedford Town and newly promoted Aylesbury Utd as dark horses.

Being a Sutton fan i would love to agree with carjam, i think however at best we are very strong outsiders. Also no-one has mentioned the squad Hendon are building. Grays also. Aldershot are building a new team and it may take more than a season for them to gel totaly. Canvey...well maybe but can they put previous years dissapointments behind them? I think Kingstonain may be able to put a strong bid for the title in. Hayes i don't think have much of a chance if any, only if it is because of the fact that relegated clubs never really find the consistancy to do well in their first season back (Sutton & Kingstonian being prime recent examples)

Only time will tell. Nobody listened to me last season. And I was spot on from only a few games into the season. It will be Sutton, contact your local book makers now. (Dont be suprised if the odds are shortened after this message)

cant make any predictions at this stage as lots of players have still be be signed for some clubs.. ......... oh bollox to that, there will be a significantly different look to the table this season from last, not much of a prediction i know,

but of this i am 82.3 % certain, canvey will be victorious

Even though i'd love to see Sutton blow this popsical stand i can only really see it in my dreams, but then it wouldn't suprise me if we won it
