udging by a few of the comments on Shearers performance on saturday it'll be an interesting problem for Andy when Porter returns,as it appears the whole team is at the moment,Wilks or Mitten, Rouse or Skins,Proths or Gledhill,Moussa or Surey etc.,Pinno or Manny,Roy or Jefferson and still Jacko on the way back,what a lovely headache.

That's what jacko thinks as well, bless him!

 

During the first half, in which we were quite uninspired, I think he's the kind of player we could have done with to settle us down. It's great to have him in the squad in my view and you know whatever role he does take up, he'll give it 110%.

I know he was your player of year last season, ot got into conference top 11, or similar, but i see noone is advocating Shearer and Porter to the exclusion of Moore who does seem a bit bulky to me.

 

What do you think of a Shearer/Porter pairing.

Moore and one another would seem to be the current thinking. Moore puts centre forwards in his pocket, is good in the air and a threat at set pieces. Shears did enough, imo, on Saturday to stay in the side but who knows what will happen against Sheep FC.

Plus, with Moore weighing in with nine goals last term, leaving him out would be like losing a centre forward!

I bow to anyone elses opinion as iv'e unfortunately only seen one game this season,but do I get the impression that Moore hasn't been quite up to his high standards yet?

This may be true, but he's still the best Defender in my opinion, whether on top form or not.

I think you will find that Porter scores more than Moore.
