Lee Shearer

Recommended Posts

just got to thinking about some of the points raised

1/ with the position dover find themselves in money wise i dont think they are in a position to pay shearers wages

2/ would shearer want to play at there level permenantly?? i dont think so

3/ if we are paying something towards his wages with our tight budget this does not leave lots of money to get somebody else in

i think he may be back only my opinion based on the financial situation of the clubs involved

With Jay able to cover as well, potentially Lee would be spending time on the bench.

My main concern is that, with Jay potentially as first-choice back-up for centre-back, the midfield is disrupted when Jay has to drop back and fill in in defence. We barely seem to go from game to game with the same midfield, even when we are on a winning run.

Well at the moment we have 4 centre backs plus Jay, and, in extremis Ade.

Lee hasn't yet gone to Dover, and they appointed a new manager yesterday so it will be up to him to decide whether he wants him. There is no rush on their part as they do not have a match this Saturday.

From what I've seen of them both, there isn't a lot between them. But whoever should start, both seem vital to the squad at present - especially as Moore hasn't been at his best so far this season, as others have already mentioned.

Agree with above post.

Not one to set demons running, and personally rated Shearer highly at Margate, but odd that 18 months ago C Kinnear froze Shearer out, and possibly the same happening with you .

Is there something us mere fans do not see.

Would love CK to build bridges and see Shears back at Margate.

Fag breaks during training & a love of booze might have something to do with it, if certain rumours are true.

There - that'll set some tongues wagging!

Note: the above may not be true but is only one of many rumours!

Now, now, Daz - that is a scurroulous slur -, you should always use "alledged" before repeating a rumour.

IMO The above post is both unneccesary and uncalled for, and should be withdrawn. Repeating rumours is as bad as starting them in my book

Sorry - did somebody say something?

Let's face it - I could post the alphabet and Mr. Stevenson would have an objection.
