Fordy plays 442, nothing but that, and it works.

Ben Surey is integral to that system, sweeping up the loose balls. That's why he's been picked for the England semi pro squad, he is why McKimm plays with more freedom this year, he is why 50 50 balls are almost always turned into our possession.

I don't think tinkering with a settled side just to accomodate one person will do us any favours.

Drury has a role to play at the club, that is without question it's just what it is.

I think the difficulty for Andy Drury is that the midfield three of McKimm, Saunders and Surey is looking really solid and it would be wrong to mess that up just to find a place for a player who is not playing to his potential at the moment. That said, there could be a place for him if Andy Ford played him on the left (where he looks more effective to me) and maybe allowed Proths to push forward a bit more on the right to give us width down both flanks.

Fair enough, but can Surey play on the right wing, or is he just a left winger? if he could play on the right, throw Jukebox over to the left, where you gotta admit, he looks more comfortable, and stay with the 4-4-2.

There is a place for him in the team, and it seems that he's just gotta find a position that he feels comfortable in, rather than being left up in the air by playing on both wings. Very unsettling for Jukebox i feel.!

Surey's actually a centre midfielder, just being played sort of on the left side as we can't leave that side exposed. Personally I think the 3 centre mids all playing at once has been an integral part of our success this season. However, it seems to work better playing away as a much defensive and tighter midfield. Perhaps at home, we could experiment with two attacking wide wingers? Moussa and Drury.

I don't know if I'm missing something here, but have people forgotten Mr Jimmy Jackson? I still believe there is a place for him in our midfield - it would look far more secure than, as suggested above, both Drury and Moussa starting as wingers. I don't feel Jacko has been given enough of a chance to prove himself this year, plus he might tighten the defensive aspect of our game and he is very useful with set pieces. I remember those halcyon days of the Ryman league where the Jacko/Skinns partnership was so productive and, with the use of their skill on the wing, we could partially eliminate the long-ball tactics that sometimes slip into our game. Just a thought...
