Twins due, Problems?.

Recommended Posts

One of my sisters is expecting twins in late January, about 25th. She has had children before no problems. She has been told that one of the twins has stopped growing, the dr has told her that if it does not grow by next week, she will be forced to give birth to one of the children early, some 6 weeks early.

Hopefully someone has the knowledge to answer the following questions.

As a concerned brother,

How does that work then, can they pull one baby out and leave the other?

What effects will it have on a baby being born some 6 weeks premature? Incubater / full recovery etc, etc?

Serious answers only please.

The first, and probably both, will be delivered by caesarean section, I presume. This is not a problem - all three Invisible Children were born that way.

Provided the premature baby is otherwise ok, I would say that a spell in the incubator is on the agenda, but these things are pretty routine these days.

Good luck to all, I'm sure it will be ok.

Hope all goes well over the next few days.

On a slightly flippant note, are your sister AND her second husband BOTH expecting ??

WOW.

Call her in the morning, sounds like babies can be born together in late January. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
