Great result for Basingstoke and ultimately St Albans last night, as I reckon we'll be fighting it out with the Shots come the end of the season!!

 

That game on April XXth at their sh*thole could be MASSIVE!! 5,000 attendance at least!!!!

In fact its results like these that make the league, and in fact NL football in general, so exciting, can you imagine in the boring old premiership two of the supposedly top clubs getting stuffed at home by two supposedly smaller clubs like this?

Yeah that was a good win you know!! Aldershot versus Saint Albans on April, could be big game you never know, last year no one was saying how Gravesend versus Canvey towards end of season would be a big game!! or could it be st albans v basingstoke on last day of the season for the title decider <img src="/forums/images/icons/blush.gif" alt="" /> now that would be a cracking match although id be a nervous wreck if it was.

 

Anyway it good to see grays, aldershot and canvey struggling paying out 5k a week plus in wages. and the likes of st albans, basingstoke, purfleet doing well and not spending big.

 

Although being a bit biased here i thing we (basingstoke) have done brilliantly as we had to release most players of last season and only signed 1 player on a contract and the others are promoted from our superb reserve squad or qaulity signing made by ernie howe

Congratulations to St Albans on there great start to the season and Basingrad. But I'd hardly say that Aldershot are struggling yet. We normally leave that till the new year.

 

And remember there's no prizes at the end of August, or else Spurs would be Champions of the Premiership.

yeah true and im just enjoying it while it lasts cos i cant really see us being in the top 3 come the end of the year the main reason we aint got enough players.

4-0 to Chesh, Keane sent off for Man U, The mighty Spurs at the top of the league. A perrrfect day.

 

Oh and watching the Dave Seaman Clown School on Sunday (keep an eye on that freekick Dave!) as Arsenal drew against Chelsea topped it, for me it was one of those games you wished both sides would lose, possibly with a lot of injuries too. I hate Chelsea/Arsenal/Pop Idol/I am a Celebrity Get me Out of Here/Ken Bates/Jimmy Hill/Arsene Wenger/Ron Atkinson/Jimmy Floyd Hasseilbank/Cabbage. Sorry I do tend to go off at a tangent.

 

Spurs signed Robbie Keane, we signed another striker with a strange name, Tresor Kandol (thought he was a Star Wars Action Figure), but he scored twice so we don't care!!!!
