Grays have done it

Confirmed as Conference South champions after Cambridge City's defeat to those masters of away form, Welling.

So we may be re-united with Nutter, Oli and Battersby next season, then.

Remember, Grays, 60% is the magic percentage-of-turnover limit to be spent on wages - something tells me you may need to bear this in mind...

That may be the rule but I don't think it has ever been enforced...didn't the Chester chairman admit to ignoring it last season but no action was taken about it?

Not exactly, he said they were losing a lot of money, £6,000 per nomth or something like that. Squad budgeting is based on turnover, so it is quite possible to lose money and stay within the rules.

I don't understand this can someone please enlighten me. So you can't exceed 60% of your total gate reciepts to be spent on players wages?

Genius idea I hope the premiership is watching. Won't happen up there though, it will have be something right across the board from UEFA OR FIFA. £10,000 a month thats all players need, of course the PFA would say but a players career is short (yes that really is the argument they use). So what, finish football and get a proper f***ing job.

thats not gonna happen is it? they don't generally have any qualifications, and who is gonnna take on a 30 something when you can have a school leaver with little to no qualifications.
good work if you can get it. I would become a pro footballer right now if there was an offer. As would most of us here. Coaching, media, dear I say it referee. Many jobs nowdays don't require that many qualifications or training, take a professional interweb forum poster like me, no skills (you knew that already) no training just come on here to share my thoughts of the day.

P.S Too the slower witted amongest you I was being sarcastic, I think.
