Enfield clash doubt

Recommended Posts

Correction sponsor of beer .The Burnham keeper started that little episode on our forum, As for the shadow he's unknown to us and I dont believe he likes Enfield F C whole heartedly but dislikes the town with an Insaciable hatred. And now Billy cove decides to stoke the flames even higher ,so you boys are not entirely blameless.

Thats a pathetic post S O B . The shadow has latched onto E F C just to wind you all up. And has done so quite sucessfully .Furthurmore this round of insults was actually started by cleggy of all people , An educated man and well respected and should know better,And encouraging the Burnham goalkeeper to insult E F C is even more sick. Southport /lovely stuff also respected and should grow up . I see no other option but NOT to renew my season ticket or membership of the enfield lottery or trust As I cannot subscribe to a club that has directors and committee members that act in such a childlike manner.

Come on Top Gun ,be fair. I was only responding to the two posters by the name of Royal Enfield and The Blade, who have recently appeared on this forum ,mainly it seems for the purpose of slagging off Enfield Town.

I certainly don't want to get into a war of words with EFC supporters throughout this season.I have a lot of respect for some of the EFC supporters, but if someone has a go at my club,i will respond.

If you are seriously considering not renewing your membership for the Town because of the things some Town fans have said about EFC.I presume you will also not renew your season ticket with EFC,because if the things some of their fans have said about the Town ????

You could end up sad lonely and clubless, just like The Shadow.

Seriously though, i urge you to stick by both clubs. Both clubs need a peace keeper .You're the only bridge between both clubs.

Think of it as EFC being like a mother, and ETFC as being like a wife.Your mother and wife may not like each other very much, but you still love them both.

Mr lovely stuff your man general lee did start this one mate. And if I have offended Enfield Town then I apologise for my part in whats been said. Lets see if general lee does have the same level of decency to do likewise . Your quite right about T G being the peacemaker between us and I would be very disappointed if he did abandon the many friends he has at both our clubs. I suppose he's stuck right in between us all . We should try to make a serious effort to not insult each other as it does appear to attract outsiders to stir things up even more ie(Brunobs post EFC forum) If you could Guarantee your side refraining from making insulting posts then I'm sure our people would do likewise. I think this constant gripe between our clubs does neither of us any favours. I hope that we can all agree on this.

Started by moi? Maybe the renaming was a bit out of order.

Look through your emails again oh rose tinted spectacled one and look in the mirror. I also responded to both you and Royal Enfield beating up on the little guy from Burnham. Yes he was naughty to come and wind you up but these are quiet days and we're all bored cos there is no football to talk of. I don't recall any **** in my email, would you like me to remind you of the language you and Royal Enfield used long before I joined in with any facts. If you win the league next season will you refrain from letting us know it? I doubt it.

Softie/Cleggy/Compo

You have regularly made snide comments to the EFC fans on both our forum and theirs'. Banter is fine but you have gone over the top on many occassions. As a director of ETFC you need to show more restraint than the rest of us but you seem to be a ring leader. Directors in the Southern League will probably have to mingle at half time and after games. I can't see many of them wanting to associate themselves with you if you keep slagging off other clubs. It is time for Town fans to stop winding up EFC and get on with improving OUR club.

Mr softie I dont recall the blade using bad language to yourself, and royal enfield has only done so in responce to your unjust comment. If indeed you are a director of Enfield Town then you should be removed at the next fans election or better still right away. Your a disgrace and I hope Dave bryant and co haul you before them for an explanation upon your behavior. Most of you are no doubt loyal football loving fans and I fully respect you all for being just that, but I have to say a tiny few of you are sick with paranoia and spoil it for the majority.

As someone who supported EFC for 40 odd years and who now support Town for the reasons given many times I have to say i am saddened by the cheap shots from both sides which are unneccessary and often pathetic.

I really dont care who started it or who said what to who first lets just cut it out. Save the rivalry for football related issues for the who beat who stuff and leave out the personal stuff.

As for the Shadow I agree he is best just ignored and left alone he will get bored.

Personally I wish EFC all the best for next season (as I always have) obviously when it comes to the derbies my colours will be firmly nailed to the town post and that is fair enough. In exactly the same way I would expect nothing less from the EFC fans.

Lets keep it all to that shall we...

ok here you go my 2 pennies are rolling over the hill..... and here they are

Those of you who know me will know that I love my football, if I managed to escape the evil clutches of work (and she who must be obeyed) then I would be @ an NL game every night of the season.

So we are at a situation today where we have two separate clubs, with separate set ups, organisations and a shared history (debateable ETFC DOB 21:06:01)

Yes i love banter, and don't mind the occasional wind up; but between our two clubs there are too many fresh sores and wounds to keep this going. We can agree to disagree; agree to mutual respect and move on.

I wish EFC all the best for 2005/06 and as long as we finish above you, you are welcome to runners up spot

cheers

Phil

I have to agree with Jim and Southport. There definitely to many cheap shots being put by both camps. There are two clubs now with the shared history. It time to move on. Like Jim, I have supported Enfield for 40+ years, whether in person or through the annuls of print. I wish both clubs all the best for the coming season. I shall not be able to able to attend games through health. I will follow both clubs through this forum and through the local press. All of you who keep wanting to put the knife into someone grow up. We all have the our colours nailed to one club or the other but we all should want some kind of success, not just for the club but Enfield as a district itself.

Thanks for those positive posts, The cheap shots have gone on for long enough now and the time has come to start a mutual respect for both of our clubs .Taking cheap shots at each other is non productive and embarassing in some respects, Outsiders viewing this forum must be laughing at us both. Once again thanks for the positive posts.

There's only a few 'supporters' who try to rubbish each other's clubs and stir up trouble. If you were to ask the genuine fans for their thoughts, then you would probably find that there is very little malice and we wish each other well; until that is we play each other.

If you are looking for common grounds, then you need look no further than the relationship Russ and MK James have with ETFC and in particular Southport and I. The feelings are mutual and we share a common bond - football.

Let the season commence.

Andy
