Sorry lads ,but this a discussion forum.People are quite entitled to say how they feel towards a club they spent many years supporting, and the current fans of that club are also entitled to express their feelings about the team, as it currently stands. As long as the posts remain civilised and non abusive.

But will they? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Last time it went round and round in circles with some odd people stoking it.

Will it help anyone to rake over it again?

I cut off NO thoughts of the 20+ years i followed Enfield Football club home and away, but as far as i'm concerned, that club died.We started ETFC to maybe revive a small part of what we once all had watching that great team.A team still play under the banner and history of EFC.I personally do not feel that team has any blood line at all to the team i once supported.

Thats not that i wish ill of that club or its supporters. They have some good people there.I doubt i will upset many current EFC fans anyway,as most seem to be new or at least go no further back than the Ryman prem era. You could probably count on one hand, those still there, that actually watched EFC away at Barrow,Frickley,Bishop Auckland..etc,.I still respect those few and bare no ill towards the new supporters, but my memories are in my heart for the team i lost. Not for the team we will be playing in the Southern Div East next season.

You'd be surprised Lovely Stuff. I don't know who Royal Enfield and The Blade are, but I do know that virtually all of our supporters have been following the club longer than I have, and I've been going since 86. Also the majority either live in Enfield or used to.

Anyone who wants to come and support Enfield is welcome, wherever they come from. It doesn't matter. The days of the Amateur Cup are long gone, and both our clubs need to live in the now.

Thing is, I agree with LS and Steph too - the old Enfield 'spirit', if you like, is with Town (the team I choose to watch) but I have some great memories of EFC. Simple as that.

It doesn't have to be a black/white, either/or issue.

Fair enough. I accept that, I was just making the point that contrary to what some people may say, the majority of those who support Enfield are Enfield people.

Barrow at barrow, Stafford and Kidderminster, Frickley, Stafford Rangers, Scarborough, Bangor City, Trowbridge, South Bank, Gateshead, Wealdstone, Barnet, Harrow Borough, Canterbury. Barnsley, White Hart Lane, Birmingham City, twice at Wembley

We can all do that

And followed Enfield since 1977 when I moved into the Borough
