Sorry lads ,but this a discussion forum.People are quite entitled to say how they feel towards a club they spent many years supporting,and the current fans of that club are also entitled to express their feelings about the team, as it currently stands.As long as the posts remain civilised and non abusive.

There is more of the old E's spirit at Enfield Town than at the current club that calls itself Enfield. They couldn't even be bothered to hang on to the honours board or photographs.

Thats not that i wish ill of that club or its supporters.They have some good people there.I doubt i will upset many current EFC fans anyway,as most seem to be new or at least go no further back than the Ryman prem era. You'd be surprised Lovely Stuff. I don't know who Royal Enfield and The Blade are, but I do know that virtually all of our supporters have been following the club longer than I have, and I've been going since 86. Also the majority either live in Enfield or used to.

I've been to about 15 EFC games in the last few years,and i can honestly say that i have seen no more than 20 supporters that i recognise from the pre-split days.I reckon no more than about 10 from pre-86.

Anyone who wants to come and support Enfield is welcome, wherever they come from. It doesn't matter. The days of the Amateur Cup are long gone, and both our clubs need to live in the now.

Thing is, I agree with LS and Steph too - the old Enfield 'spirit', if you like, is with Town (the team I choose to watch) but I have some great memories of EFC. Simple as that.

 

It doesn't have to be a black/white, either/or issue.

Fair enough. I accept that, I was just making the point that contrary to what some people may say, the majority of those who support Enfield are Enfield people.

Barrow at barrow, Stafford and Kidderminster, Frickley, Stafford Rangers, Scarborough, Bangor City, Trowbridge, South Bank, Gateshead, Wealdstone, Barnet, Harrow Borough, Canterbury. Barnsley, White Hart Lane, Birmingham City, twice at Wembley

You started following EFC in 1977 ,and began watching them again regulary in 2004.You forgot to mention your never went to a game for over a decade during the late 80's and all of the 90's.
