Having watched a team with plenty of past form in the "excellent start followed by winter collapse" stakes, it's way too early to start getting excited. 7 points isn't insurmountable, particularly if you've still to play the team(s) you're trying to catch. That said, I think it's important to not get more than say 10 points behind even this early as the pressure would then be on to avoid further slip ups.

Mate, i remember Sutton catching Aylesbury up from 12 points behind in January and winning the lague by 11 points, and Debtstonian the previous year. We probably won't win the league, but it's to early to write us of and crown st albans/aldershot as champions. Remember it aint over till its over
