Words of wisdom from Dubbya.

Recommended Posts

I have a desk calendar block thingy and each day's page qouyes the words of President Bush. Inspiring in its own way, as you can imagine. Here's today's from a speech in Iowa, January 2000:

"When I was coming up, it was a dangerous world, and you knew exactly who they were. It was us vs. them, and it was clear who them was. Today, we are not so sure who the they are, but we know they're there."

Here's another from a speech in Austin, Texas in January 2001, prophetically:

"The person who runs FEMA is someone who must have the trust of the president. Because the person who runs FEMA is the first voice, oftentimes, of someone whose life has been turned upside down hears from."

October is still good, Moo. Here's yesterday's:

Dubbya was speaking at an Elementary school in New Hampshire in January 2000 during "Perseverance Month". That's 'Perseverance'. With me so far? According to the L.A. Times, he said:

"This is Preservation month. I appreciate preservation. It's what you gotta do when you run for President. You gotta preserve".
