Drums at Burnham

How long to go? To lose against Burnham, who are a game side but hardly a team of worldbeaters will be a disaster.

We should never have been in the position of going to their ground like this for a replay. They were ripe for the plucking on Saturday and should have been accounted for with ease then.

I am gutted

How many times have Canvey conceded goals in the 45th or 90th minute this season? Far more than what they should have, that is for sure...

Come on Canvey, finish this lot off now!!!

I blame this all on you. You're a jinx.

This is a disasterous result for Canvey whatever way you look at it.

A cup run would have been a real pick up for the club, all the fans and everybody involved with it.

I suppose you have to say that yes, after Saturday you should not be surprised but fair play to Burnham and all good wishes to them in their game v Aldershot and hopefully they will now have a run in the competition and earn their club a few bob.

Sorry Jayne. What can I say? Too many goals however have been conceded this year on the stroke of half time and at the end of games and this surely is something that must be causing concern now.

Are our defenders losing concentration or is the fact that the club is still part time a factor against (though not in Burnham's case obviously) full time clubs who through full time training are so much fitter than us?

Who knows but after a night like this, I am sure that questions as to how we could lose to a side who on paper were vastly inferior to us, will have to be asked...
