I don't think I have ever seen a game where all three match officials have been so terrible. The free kick that resulted in a goal was in fact a good tackle how the ref saw it any other way is beyond me. The penalty decision was a disgrace, was that really deliberate handball? Our keeper pulled off a great save diving to his left, he was never off his line! The linesman flagged before the ball was kicked and then put his flag down??? The other linesman did not see the incident that led to the first sending off but heard your player scream and raised his flag. The winning goal was a mile offside, the only person playing the score onside was a steward wearing a yellow jacket!!! The lino was not up with play and his flag stayed down. The ETFC fans I spoke to agreed that the win was somewhat lucky.

Fair comment about the penalty and the retake.Very harsh on Barton

The tackle that led to the sending off, should have been a straight red.Awarding a second yellow means your player will only miss one match instead of three.

I didn't think the last goal was offside.

PS...Very impressed with your No5.(until he got himself sent off)

Barton Man

The number 5 should learn to control his mouth. His sending off was his own fault.

Keiron Woodward does not scream out in agony for nothing - the linesman was right on the spot and the tackle was around 10 minutes late.

The penalty decision was probably given for the previous handball and the lino on the retaken penalty did a good job. The goalkeeper was off his line - end off.

You must be very impressed with the sight lines at Brimabau as you managed to see every incident in detail. Mind you did not hear the foul language from the number 5 so perhaps pitch microphones would give you a better pespective.

On another matter - I dont think the ref/lino wound up both sides. He stamped his authority on the game very early on with the booking of Rudi Hall. Enfield Town learnt from that - tis a pity Barton did not take note.
