FAN DAY - AN IDEA!!!!!

How about we try and orgainse a City fan Day for on of the forthcoming home matches.

If we come up with a match then we can leave messages on other websites of non-leauge and leauge teams and get the attendance boosted.

I will fax every club in the leauge and try and get them to mention in thier club programs about the day.

These things were a great success for teams like Brighton when they were in the **** there attendance were boosted by several thousand. If we only get 500-1000 people more it'll mean a load to the club, Brighton got people from all over the country for theres.

There are enough groundhoppers as well to add to the attendance especially if we try and get the non-leauge paper to promote it.

The games I have in mind are the home games against Sutton on 19th, Billericay on Feb 2nd or Purfleet on Feb 16th. Looking at the fixtures of our local leauge teams Luton are at home on all three dates which is a shame as they tend to tag onto us during cup runs. watford however are playing on the Sunday away for the Sutton Game, are also away on the Riccy' game but at Home for the Purfleet game.

I have set a poll up and ask that everyone votes, the game which is winning on Thursday Morning will be the one I'll choose and will start faxing and promoting while at work that day.

I have also set up a e-mail address if you have any comments let me know, this is:

cityfanday@yahoo.co.uk
Lets do it for the saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sounds like a very good idea. It reminds me of the fans from other clubs which are going to support Wimbledon in their hour of need. Just make sure it is advertised as well as possible and you sell the club. Make it worth them coming down and if it is a success maybe we could do it again.

Shame about today. Was up for the game and now we will have more to play in a shorter space of time. Dont suppsoe this will help us much! A reall effort needs to be made to ensure coming home games go ahead as this is the revenue we need. Re-arranged games will be no good to us in the future. Lets hope Tuesday is ok and the crowd is of a decent size.

Dont let the good work slip. Keep up the support.

Well I link that this is a good idea, although at the moment I don't quite know how it works as such. No I am not thick, but i'll ask Helen if she can help me with this one.
I have, however voted and I did vote for purfleet as that is a game that I will definately be going to as it lands on my birthday weekend and my Jonny Jon and his bunch of mates will be there as well!
Never mind if this isn't the game to be, I'll still have a good time anyway!!!
