In the Epidermis layer of the skin there's the:

Stratum corneum (Horny layer)

stratum lucidum (Clear layer)

stratum granulosum (Granular layer)

stratum spinosum (Prickle cell layer)

stratum germativum (basal cell layer)

 

In the Dermis layer of the skin there's the:

Papillary layer

Reticular layer

 

And then there's the subcutaneous layer.

 

Alright, i exaggerated slightly- there's 8 layers!

Those people who I spoke to last week should have got their teams together by now as there is not long to go before my table defends its crown.

 

Please let myself, Phil, Eric or Steve have your £48.00 for the tables.

 

If you cannot make up a table, but want to come along, then let us know beforehand.

 

We have had two quiz evenings and raised quite a substantial amount of money at each. Let's make sure this will be just as good as the last one.

You will note from the timings of my posts that I have only just got back from Drayton Parslow.

 

Did really well to get 8 points from the first three rounds!!!!!!

 

Went on to finish a creditable 12th out of 15 tables. Have never been to a harder quiz in all my life!

 

The table who were marking our papers were not amused at one of our answers.

 

Qu. What is the name of the rocket which has just blasted off for Pluto?

 

Ans. Goofy! Well, we laughed.

We are working on the fact that 15 tables will battle to win the crown of ETFC Quiz team of the year.

 

There has been a promise of 13 table so far but some of the tables will not have 8.

 

Therefore, if you want to come to the quiz, but cannot make up a table, then please let us know and we will allocate a table for you.

 

The idea behind the quiz is to raise money, raise awareness of the club and meet people. This has to be a great way of spending a Friday evening.
