In Phil's defence, it is not him who throws foul language around all the time. Yes, he swears occassionally and I do too. However, it is some of the younger supporters that constantly scream abuse at the ref and opposing players. Phil tells those idiots to stop the swearing (as do I) on a regular basis.

I thought that this sort of thing was covered in the ground regulations, so bring to the attention of the stewards for them to act?.

I don't think it comes under the remit of the stewards as they are there to assist the board of directors on a matchday with matters to do with safety and supporters. Staff on pitch side are not the stewards' responsibility. If this was the case, then stewards would be asked to go on to the field of play to stop players from swearing. This is a club matter which needs to be sorted out.

I was talking about the bad language coming from the supporters Andy, which is covered in the Ground Regulations.

Hammett is working hard and makes good runs, but his performances continue to frustrate and annoy me,and most of the other supporters.

So tell me, which part of working hard and making good runs do you find frustrating and annoying?

Duke - can you please let myself or one of the match day stewards know next time this happens as it is TOTALLY unacceptable

Southport - i agree with you but who should we complain to about your foul-mouth (or is this acceptable)? I know of some who do not come to games any longer because of the foul language behind the goal and some of it clearly comes from you.

just come and talk to me, not a problem.

i am sure that by applying your logic there will be supporters who no longer sit due the choice words that come from those supporters in the stand...

I don't find his good runs frustrating or his hard work, just the majority of the rest of his game.

I am frustrated and annoyed by his weak shooting, his lack of pace, his lack of strengh...etc.
And presumably also the ten goals he has scored so far this season?

Possibly being known as a Hammatt critic I think he has found his way up front now and I am happier with his inclusion in the team. However, to drop Chopper after a couple of poor performances and replace him with a very weak goalkeeper is possibly Jim's worse decision so far.

At the beginning of the season Bryan got away with a run of poor performances without getting dropped. Why is Chopper only allowed two? I think we all know the reason.

Take away the 'blip' game where he scored a hat-trick against GWR,and he's got 6 goals in 30 games, and one of them was a penalty.Trevor Paul (who's hardly set the world alight since his arrival) has got 9 goals in 17 games.

By that critism then presumably you are also fed up with Niall Ritchie who scored 2 goals on his debut but hasnt scored since.....

Jim

Jim, That's a bit harsh....
Niall has not been in the side on a regular basis and only in the last couple of games has he been anywhere near the front line.
I do not think it is fair to place him as a striker which is the comment against Bryne's performances / record.
Niall made all 4 goals at Arlow.

I am not critiicising Ritchie - far from it!

I am making a point to LS that perhaps HE is being harsh on Brian. He has picked up 4 mom awards. He has also picked up 7 assists which is second only to rudi as well. Do he cant be that bad.

Indeed, and I believe one of Trevors 9 is also a penalty, so that would take his goals down to 8. While we're at it, why not take away Rudi's 10 penalties this season, that takes him down to 6 goals. We could also take away Rudi's goal in his 'blip' hat trick match against Harlow that wasn't a penalty, now he's down to 5. Out of that, one was a follow up effort to his saved penalty, and another was direct from a free kick, so he's now down to 3 from open play. Bloody hell, the way we are going, someone will soon be in minus figures. The real problem is that bugger all players are scoring to help the forwards out. We've scored 69 so far this season, of which 12 are penalties and 4 own goals. Out of the remaining 53, 28 are shared between Hall/Hammett/Paul and Smith. That means that our remaining squad have scored 25 goals between them in 29 games. Hardly prolific. Take away any goals scored direct from free kicks, and it would get even worse.

For gods sake, we are second in a division that we have just been promoted into. Grow up, smell the roses, congratulate the players and management for getting us there, and support them rather than criticise.

WE,WE???

Are you a Town supporter PC? If so, you've been very quite. I have seen EVERY game Hammett has played since his arrival at the club.I have seen every game ritchie and Paul have played ...etc.As such ,i believe i have more right to comment on the performances of those respective players, than either Pretty Vacant or especially J. Cunneen (no offence Jim).
