Mark Cousins has done okay since he joined on loan from Colchester, but I do not think he is a "better" keeper than Chopper.

What will happen once Mark returns to Colchester ?

Will Chopper still be with Town ?

Mark has made a few mistakes but Jim keeps faith with him, but when Chopper made a mistake he was removed from the number one spot. Why ?

There has to be more to this than just goal-keeping ability.

I for one, would like to see Chopper back on Monday. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Remember the game at Ware? Lee Allinson scored Enfield's free kick in the corresponding fixture and that was a direct free kick!

All these points about Chopper being in goal yesterday are 'if buts and maybes!' If you really want to think about what could have been, ask yourself what may have happened if Andy Hall had played in the 2 games against Borehamwood. I think Ken played brilliantly especilly at their place. We all know Chopper is better than KK so we would almost certainly have got more out of these two games.

If we had drawn both games we would be top by two clear points (ET:79/BW:77), if we had won one game and lost one we would be top (ET:80/BW:78) and if we had won both matches we would be eight points clear at the top (ET:83/BW:75).

Colchester United clearly want Mark Cousins to get experience from pressure matches. If they are paying his wages we've got to let the U's get something out of the arrangement. If JC doesn't play him they'll probably call him back to Layer Road.

I don't give a stuff about Colchester wanting this or that.

There is only one thing that is of interset here and that is the progress of Enfield Town F C.

If that progress is going to be helped by leaving Cousins out of the team, then so be it.

We are not only talking about the rest of this season here, what about next season ? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

If we can build a good relationship with CUFC then they may want to give more of their promising players a run-out with Town next season.

It's a bit harsh to be critical of Cousins when he's not been on a losing side yet from the 8 games played.

The point is...what does Chopper have to do to get back in the side and why was he dropped ?

I do not believe it is about goal-keeping ability, therefore there must be something else going on between Jim and Chopper.

I would like to see Chopper back in goal.

No we have 1 class keeper & 1 class keeper on loan that wont be here next season.

I chatted with a fellow Town fan yesterday & we both feared we had seen Chopper play his last game for the Town, I do hope not & as Happy says We want our Chopper back!
