i think you can analyse it all you want, but at the end of the day its the team that get the most goals. I think in a sense blaming the pitch is the cowards way out as it diguises a poor performance. Ok i see its fair that a pitch may favour one team but i just dont see how the advantage of playing on a pitch week in and out is not greater. I think on a neutral pitch it disadvantages both teams as much. Anyway thats my tupence worth.

I think when the pitch at home is dry the ball does obviously bounce a lot higher, the problem is when it does the squad is so short we dont stand a chance!

So the reason we are so poor at home is because of the height of the squad!

Simple as that really.

Come on the team selection spoke volumes. It was all about rewarding the squad players that don't get a regular first team game and that got us there in the first place.

Both team selections would have been more at home in the ESL....

Oh well thats alright then, glad I made the effort to get there after work & paid £8.00 to get in, didnt realise we were not bothered about winning the trophy, perhaps Arsene Wenger will do the same & reward some of the senior players & play them on May 17th!

Back to pitches..................

I am reminded of Archbishop Mykarios (sp?) I think it was, who, referring to the state of Cyprus's home pitch said something like "Everyone who comes here complains about the pitch but they all seem to win on it". Classic.

Was it Stanley Rous who said "There is no substitute for skill"?
