Bloody Nickleback. Manufactured so-called 'emo-rock' bands. American men crying and complaining how the world hates them in some American drawl-type sound, saying how women hate them as well and their kids hate them and so on and so on. Sons of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit, made for the MTV, or as should be know, the Hoodie Generation. Those 8-yr-olds you see running around wearing Offspring, Nirvana, Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park hoodies, those who buy the albums after seeing the band on Top Of The Pops, sell-outs the lot of them. And then going to a gig, not for the music but to mosh at the front. And these half-wit 8-yr-olds are wearing Nirvana hoodies and moshing, not realising that their idol Kurt Cobain hated moshing. And then you hear the story of Puddle of Mudd, who were 4 mates who formed a band. Fred Durst hears them, decides he likes the sound of the singer (emo-rock-sad-American-drawl) and so gets rid of the other three, and brings in new blood of his own.

Keep the dream alive...

I've seen Slipknot live and I have their two albums(well, the first one I recorded of a mate, the second one I bought) and they're actually alright. The rest you mentioned are,as you say, a pile of crusty crap. The thing with Slipknot is you can't take them too seriously, when I saw them at Ozzfest and Reading I just thought, "well, in two years I'll probably be regretting buying the albums, but at this moment in time I'm p*****g myself laughing at them making eejits of themselves on stage!"

I think we'll probably manage the 1,000 on the General Forum this week. Not much on the Football Forum despite our last-gasp 3-2 against Bognor Regis in the League Cup last night.
