Is there a league cup in the Spartan league?

Recommended Posts

Mr O'Dell is Robbie O'Dell a striker with Biggleswade United. Never met him but he's just started posted on here, and is from what I recall of the games last season a more than useful player.

I didn't know about proposed friendly with Kentish Town on August 3...thats a Thursday? However considering acquisition of information doesn't seem to be easy at our place especially now I'm 'out the loop' as just a supporter that's no surprise.

Lato - Thanks for clarifying that, I don't know Robbie O'Dell but interestingly we have been drawn at home to Biggleswade United in the Challenge Trophy so no doubt I will meet him then. Sounds like we will need to slip something into his tea beforehand or half time orange juice in order to give us a chance, I'll speak to Greg about that. I thought you were still on the 'payroll' at Ruislip, you have quite a large Committee I know and it's often hard to keep track of who's on it and who isn't, I'm sure one or two of you have slipped through the gate at Haringey without paying in the past, shame on you.

Lato - Yes getting a bit confused, Kevin's the guy from Potters Bar, tall chap about 6 ft 2"

Almost 6' 2", but not quite! You'd better not build up too good a picture of me because you never know what Paula might make of it! Looking at the fixtures, I see Paula's due at "my place" on 22 December. You never know, it could be a right Christmas Cracker!

Kevin - Sounds like you're trying to muscle in on my bird there, not impressed, 6' 2" was a pretty good guess then. Seems like you had a good day out today, I would have come to Cheshunt if I'd known you'd be down there, what's Standon and Puckeridge's ground like, I gather from HTFCew that Hertford Town are there next week. Yes you haven't been in for a couple of days, Broxbourne Borough have joined us now but the million dollar question is when Hoddesdon Town will be making their grand entrance.

Standon is extremely basic. Not much for Elaine to get excited about next week, I'm afraid. The ground is adjacent to the Community Centre which contains the changing rooms. Unfortunately, the rest of it was shut down by the Parish Council in March. As a result, there was nowhere to shelter from the rain today. The pitch slopes both lengthways and widthways and seems very uneven. Standon seemed to be quite a physical side too.

Thanks for the information Kevin, do you know Elaine then, you seem to know most people on here. Don't worry will talk Paula out of visiting your place on 22 December, it's a long way off anyway and anything can happen between now and then. Paula said Canvey beat Billericay 2-0 today and was quite impressed with their new look side, Rak from Haringey went to Wembley today, 'our' former Japanese star Takumi Ake played for Hendon and should be a regular in the team this season.

Think you'll find the game is on the 23rd not the 22nd.
And yeah it will be a Christmas Cracker - we will thrash you <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Paula - Yes you and your dirty mind, what shall we do with you, will PM you soon. Read rave reviews about your performance yesterday, no not that one, there was a report in the Non League paper which said Canvey could be in for a successful season, I hope so as then you will be in a generous mood throughout (think about it) x

Fame? An intersting description, Steve!

Are you still playing Yeading on a Monday night soon? Was thinking of popping over for that one.

I could have used infamy..as in 'infamy, infamy they've all got it in for me!!' <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I think that Yeading game is Monday 5th August. To be honest I'm just a supporter now so I don't know a lot about whats going on

RobbieO, yes look forward to seeing you on 13 September if that date can be agreed with Hendon, have you ever graced the hallowed Claremont Road turf before in your illustrious carrer. Yes I'll be there when you arrive although it's further for me to go than Haringey, the personal touch will still be the same though don't worry about that, right down to the soap, loo rolls, towels and even shampoo in your dressing room.

LOL, So Rhodes, let me get this right mate, do you work for Kentish Town, or volunteer your services? What exactaly is your posistion within the club? I know you said you are the programme editor?

Did you just contact the club and offer your services or did you know people from KTFC beforehand?

Gavin, how long have you got, everyone seems to know the story except you. I was with Haringey Borugh for nearly three seasons but got the sack recently by the Chairman Aki 'Sugar' Achillea for wanting to progress the Club, Haringey have the potential to be a Barnet or Leyton Orient tomorrow due to the catchment area they're in but he doesn't want to know, we fell out despite all my efforts and he showed me the door, sorry gate. I already knew the guys at Kentish Town as they ground shared with 'us' in 2004/2005 and when they heard I was open to offers they were in like a rat up a drain pipe, well can you blame them, do you put towels, shampoo and chewing gum in the away dressing room.
