2nd in the league, not bad considering where we were a few weeks back

6 straight league wins on the bounce is excellent form and in all fairness it's about time Sutton sorted themselves out. Good to see a team that has achieved as much as yours in the non league game finally getting things right again.

 

That's not to say we won't be looking for a double over you when we next meet but good to see all the same. Nice one

Aldershot haven't played anyone (bar Purfleet) in the top 5 yet - with games against City and Sutton coming up we should see who the contenders are come early new year, City also have Aldershot and hendon coming up, lose them - forget it!

We have already lost them I would say! We will build up for the Aldershot game and then lose!

Sutton obviously are playing the Shots away on Boxing Day, and from where i'm sitting that's the big 'un in the league. Remember when we played Saints and Hendon we had several injuries to key players, which affected the result, (remeber we ran Saints close for a while as well). If only we started well......

And the Shots are normally so good over christmas.

 

Normally the players turn into turkeys, just to get into the Christmas spirit and hand out 3 points as presents. Like Farnblubber a couple of years ago.

ChrisA2002, we've been told that one of our younger supporters at City has left some unsavoury messages on the Aldershot website. None of us has seen anything, so does anyone there know what it's all about?

I dont think Aldershot will go up. They will slip up and give it to Purfleet, just like Canvey gave it to Gravesend (well Justin Griffiths gave it to Gravesend really <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/yelrotflmao.gif" alt="" /> )

I know this Kid who lives in St.Albans who supports the Shots! I remember him being the mascot a few times for them at our place and I remember him playing footie over the lake with his Shots shirt on.

The fact I want Sutton to win it has nothing to do with any admiration for your club. Just that it means Canvey and Aldershot haven't.
