Is the JETS membership count lower than previous years due to the change in season ticket policy this year?

I know my three JETS all have season tickets (as I bought them!) - not sure if Gilli got the JETS forms though as I sent those to the club membership secretary .....

I think our crowds will pick up if we put a good run together and keep scoring goals.

Families are a good way to bump up the numbers. I have several friends with children who keep talking about coming to the next Saturday home game. But as Steph pointed out earlier, they often change their minds if the weather is poor, or if school activities on a Saturday morning (football, rugby) over-run.

"JETS" don't need Season Tickets this Season as "JETS" Membership this year enables members Free to gain |FREE entry to all League Home Games.

I don't know who your Kids are but PM & I will let you know if I have their details.

All "JETS" Membership should come to me via my usual contact details & NOT via the club.

There seems to be some confussion also concerning Kids who play for "ETFC" Youth Teams at the moment, they are all supposed to join the "JETS" but to date I have received nothing.

If it is a portable stand, why couldn't we take it with us?

Or are you admitting that we will not be able to take our current stands with us, so why bother putting in even more?

I think we need to clafiry the stand situation with Brimsdown, and if (as rumours are to be believed),they have no intention of allowing us to take our stands with us,when (and if) we leave. We should in advance check out the legal position with our lawyers.I was under the impression that the Football Trust awarded Enfield Town the grant for the stands. As such, they are our property. At the very elast we should get some legal advice to that effect.

I think all the Town fans who paid £50 each to sponser the seats, would be very miffed to find out we were sponsering a stand we might only be able to use for a few years.

ETFC v Romford programme dated 8 November 2003.

Quote

Seat Sponsorship.

'I just wish to remind you that the seats move on with the club when we leave our temporary home so whatever you may have read from so called 'supporters of football' about promises made in the past about seats and leaving football grounds, then please do not take any notice. This is a club which means what it says.'

That clears that up then.

If there is an issue, then why not take it up with the current board.

Both are the same. As far as I am aware they both go with us when we eventually re-locate.

I think we need to remind Brinsdown ssc of this fact.Because some people at Brimsdown are currently telling anyone who will listen (mostly EFC people),that they will not allow us remove the stands when we relocate.

What has it got to do with EFC anyway?

Apart from the fact of stirring and generally snooping (you know who you are).It may well be in their interests that the stands remain,if Town relocate. Then they can just breeze in and groundshare a ready-made step4 stadium in Enfield.

I doubt it was coincidence that EFC chose to pursue closer links with Brimsdown sport and Social club,at about the time that rumours of Town possible relocation to the QE11 were revealed.

QE2 WILL be redeveloped over the next few years. If Town had big money availabe to fund the redevelpment ourselves. We would have really good chance of aquiring the site.

With the reliance on outside funding by the Council,or Spurs if they win there appeal. There is still a small chance.

Funding was received for the stands which just happened to contain the seats.

As further reported in previous programmes, Brimsdown Rovers needed the fencing, etc for their needs whereby ETFC needed the stand, with the seats and extra terracing.

These two structures are assets of the club. Surely people do not think that our club would put in a planning application for an extra 100 seats and then leave them for another club!

SL. This is common sense and common knowledge. Nothing more and nothing less. Also, I had time to go through the programmes to see what I had written.

Yes.This must be a priority. I noticed that for the first time on Saturday, even the singers behind the goal couldn't be bothered to stand down the open end,and remained behind the covered goal all game.

How about setting a 'supporters stand fund'?

How much would a basic stand cost? Would it need to be a big as the one at the other end or half the size? Would a portable stand like the ones we have at the moment be the cheapest option,or would a 'homemade type' stand be cheaper?

I think it would be a good idea to know the exact amount we will need to raise, before a fund is set up.It would give people more insentive to reach a set target.

I think the club would get quite significantly higher gates for some matches...A lot of people dont really want to stand out in the cold and rain and the atmosphere in home matches would improve. In turn i think this would help the players and maybe the home form might at long long last start to match the away record.
I would be happy to contribute money towards a covered end and im sure other fans would too.
The club needs to look at ways of increasing support before hopefully relocating..

I dont think iy makes good economic sense either in the short or long term to keep the ground with only one end.
