Fantastic second half performance. Soaked up a lot of pressure and hit back. Nail biting last 10-15m. I'm Exhausted from watching. God knows how the players feel. Well done guys for that second half. Lets forget the first 45

Well, everything that could go wrong went wrong tonight...PA played up, mixing desk played up, amp played up and I wasn't on my game tonight because of it...oh hang on, we're takling football....

I thought it was a cracking game from a neutrals point of veiw, goals (two were crackers), some good passing football and a atmosphere in the second half when everything was level...

For a supporters point of view...frustrating as far as Margate were concerned...relief and joy from a 'Ricay point of view. Margate had the better of the first half and were good for the 2 - 1 half time lead (in fact, if Nathan hadn't scored when he did, I think we would've struggled in the second). The second half, despite a good period of pressure from Margate, Billericay shaded it. To be honest, the game looked as if a 2 all draw was going to be the result and it had to be a goal like Hodges that was going to seperate the two sides.

A good evening....except for the technical problems wich are now sorted...and I did so want to give our friends from Margate a treat...

Good comeback for us, at 2-0 down we looked dead and buried! Margate had much the better of the first half, passed the ball extremely well and looked capable of scoring a hatfull. Strange first goal - looked like it took a couple of ricochets before dribbling off the post and straight into the path of their guy who had an easy finish. Well worked 2nd goal for them and it looked game over.

Nathan's capitalised on some poor marking to head in a Whelpdale cross to get us back in the game just before half time which was crucial. Dorms hit home a daisy-cutter from a free kick, their keeper saw it too late to dive as it went through a crowd of players.

Margate faded badly in the second half, and weren't able to maintain the pace and zip of their first half attacks which made them easier to deal with.

Hodges has hit a screamer to win it, and mention must go to Ronnie who pulled off a good save late on.

Worster

McSweeney Heffer Blewitt Kerrigan

Whelpdale Hill Dormer Hodges

John Holland

Elder for John (landed awkwardly and hurt his back)

Game for Hill

Lee-Finch for Hodges

SNU: Flack, Wright

We have this ability to be a sugapuff and weetabix team If only we could get the consistency like the showing we put in for the second half and we would scare quite a few teams. The sugapuff performance from the first half was akin to a team that looked frightened to make mistakes hence the constant ball over the top play. But the weetabix lads cmae out in the second half and then we played ball to floor, kept it moving and genuinely had Margate on the back foot.

But, super strikes for all the goals last night. A wonderfully placed header from Nath, a well controled low drive from Dorms and then Hodges final drive through. It really was a cracking second half and that we must congratulate the lads. I think that was shown how we appreciated it at the final whistle when the applause kept going for what seemed lile ages. See lads, far better to have a lot of applause based on performance (win, draw or lose) than nothing with no effort...Makes you feel better too eh!

Anyway, well done all and yes, Ronnie did make a great save early doors second half that perhaps could have turned the game.

As for Margate. They look a very strong outfit, but just do not seem to be playing as a team. Nice drumming, but that aint nothing to what we have got coming to town on Saturday with our friends who go crash bang wallop (Ayelsbury)

agree that 1st half we were pretty rotten and looked like we were going to be on the wrong end of a hiding. Nathan's goal was the turning point as it gave the players hope going in at half time. I'm sure trotty will be furious at the marking for nathan's goal.

Second half was a combination of us playing better and them running out of steam. Hodges goal was a belter and a worthy or winning any game.

I dont think anyone would have complained had it ended a draw as at 2down we looked out of it but they had the best of the 1st half and we had the best of the 2nd, but for once it was great to see us sneak a win.

Thought Worster made a great save in the second half when he blocked a close range shot.

All in all a good night but we have to start performing over 90mins and not put ourselves in a situation where we make it so hard for ourselves.

Any news on Vinny's injury? he didnt look happy about coming off despite the fact he could barely walk off!!

well done lads, great result.

Thought I would come and watch our local friends as was unable to get away early for our Carshalton fixture.

Ricay very slow out of the blocks and deseverdly fell behind, but credit to you in pulling back a goal close on halftime.

Second half Ricay had some self believe and took the game to Margate who seemed to be happy with a draw after you equalised. Spendid Ricay 3rd goal to take the match.

Good to meet you Gazza, did not take you up on your offer of a drink afterwards, thought I leave you to sort out your techi problems you were having.

Great result for us....first half very poor, but dont no what the manager said at half time but it definatetly had an effect on the players. Would like to single out however Lee Hodges, Ronnie Worster and Nathan Elder for there performances, Lee and Nathan for scoring and Ronnie keeping them out at the other end especially a great save in the dying minutes of the game. Well Done Lads!!!

I think that to come back and win any game from two behind shows a great deal of belief and character. Well done to the lads for that, a vast improvement on Saturday.

IMO some are being a bit harsh about the first half. Margate have some good players and they looked a very good side in the first 45. No doubt that Nathan's goal was crucial as not only did it instil a bit of belief into our side but also instilled a bit of doubt into theirs.

Thought Margate made a tactical error in the second half as they seemed to go all out to protect their lead. As a result Hockers was totally isolated and there was little respite for their tiring legs in defence and midfield. We ran the show from then on really, although I did feel we slipped back a bit once we had equalised. Great goal from Hodges, worthy of winning any game, and a crucial save from Ronnie at the death to prevent an equaliser.

A look at the league table shows how tight it all is. Hopefully we can put a few results together and get right up there. I hope that the armchair Chumpions league watchers have noticed that there have been 10 goals in our last two home games and we get a good turnout on Saturday.

Well done on your win, i thought we were unlucky not to get anything out of the game, but thats football. I thought once you brought on Elder you improved, as soon as we took Jimmy Jackson off we started to struggle a bit and our players were absoloutley exhausted. Even though we lost yesterday i really enjoyed the game and one of the most entertaining games i have watched Margate in since the Conference days. Good luck for the near future and look forward to seeing and beating you guys at Hartsdown.

Whatever was said at half-time can we repeat before the kick-off! IMHO, Whelpdale and Hill have made a massive difference, two starts, two wins and 8 goals, long may that continue. Gotta say that Worster was again superb and the arial bombardment at the end was dealt with superbly. I thought Elder had by far his best game of the season as well. As for Hodges strike, pure gold. At this rate, Gutzmores 51 goals in a season is under threat!
