Windsor v Kings Lynn: The rumble at the Meadow

How about a ground where the pitch is obviously not playable ?

Referee reckons he won't turn up til lunch-time.

Club Sec is 'doing other things' til lunchtime.

Asst. Coach frantically has to contact Sec or other club official who are the only people who can OFFICIALLY call the game off.

Thankfully the game in question was a local derby game !

Big JR,

only one person can call a game off and that is the match referee, even if you get a local ref to do the inspection the final say lies with the appointed match referee!

For a local derby it makes sense to leave the inspection as late as possible, for us yesterday the importance was on preventing KL travelling if not necessary.

And finally I'll stick up for the Club Sec you mentioned, we do have lives away from football and things that may require our attention now and again, there are other people within a club that can be there for pitch inspections ie Directors!

Blimey Raymond eh? Havent been called that since I was a naughty schoolboy!!

As for coming down on the train you must be having a laugh midweek. The world goes to sleep after 10pm north of cambridge.Odd one to call this.Part of me wants it to be on and I assume we will put out a weakened side.Part says call it off but then its 13 days between our last game and the FA Cup game against Oldham.By the way will you lot be watching us?

Have tried to PM you to explain, but I see you don't accept PM's.

I WASN'T referring to the cancellation of the Windsor game, but another fixture. If we ever meet, (possibly Tuesday evening ?), I'll explain in more detail.

I didn't mention any specific game. The circumstances I was referring too are rather too complicated to go into on here and does slant on some of more silly rules the FA have regarding the posting of game cancellations.

Anyone else see that KL are noe without a manager after he left to take up an assistant manager job with a league club (i forget which).

Maybe the task of planning how to stop the red and green goal juggernaut was just too tough.
