Sorry you don't like it Cliffy but then you don't like much so no loss there. Official Secrets, you do know what those are and you have signed them haven't you? Must come in handy when straightening those paper clips and "defending the Realm".........

Ian – With respect, why is there a rule for your members where virtually anything goes and a separate undemocratic rule for me, what’s so ‘taboo’ about the subject I posted about yesterday

The 19 December marks the 14th wedding anniversary of William Hague and his lovely wife Ffion Llywelyn Jenkins, who said it wouldn't last. Also on this day in 1984 Margaret Thatcher signed the Joint Sino-British Declaration with China, transferring Hong Kong from a British colony to Communist China in 1997 following 155 years of British rule. Birthday's today include former Wimbledon tennis champion Stan Smith, singer Limahl (Kajagoogoo fame) and, wait for it, iconic Flashdance star Jennifer Beals.

Some birthday's today folks (20 December) include Uri Gella, Jenny Agutter who seems to have been around forever, Billy Bragg and Ashley Cole, I wonder what Cheryl bought him. Today also marks the worst peacetime sea disaster in 1987 when a passenger ferry sank after colliding with an oil tanker in the Tablas Strait in the Philippines killing an estimated 4,000 people.
