Yet another good news story folks, where is it all going to end. This time, incredibly, the Club have announced a €25,000 grant fund for up to 50 local schools across Bedford for this year, with each school receiving at least €500 to spend on football equipment:

No wonder LondonEagle is as quiet as a dormouse, sorry, fieldmouse lately, Bedford Town boss Lee Bircham has received a nine match touchline ban next season and fined £600 following a charge of improper conduct made by Referee Abid Hussain following a Southern League Premier Division Central fixture at Alvechurch last season, on Saturday 23 November last year. Shocking to say the least and Lee should have known better, apparently the Club (Bedford Town) have been approached for comment but, surprise surprise, directed the local press to Lee Bircham’s Counsel, the Bedford Independent have, again surprise surprise, not as yet received a response.

Incredibly Real Bedford Ladies and Girls Reserves did not draw a single League game in their Eastern Region Women's League Division One North campaign last season (2024/25), the only team in the Division not to do so in their 22 fixtures, winning 10 and losing 12, and finishing in a respectable 6th place in their first season together and 'understudies' to the high flying First team. Next season, in the same Division, looks interesting with a lot of local fixtures as well as trips to rural Norfolk to take on Thetford Town Ladies and Mulbarton Wanderers Ladies:

Here we go folks, the Eastern Region Women's League have already released their fixtures for next season which sees Real Bedford Ladies and Girls Reserves open up their exciting Division One North campaign with a home fixture against Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds on Sunday 17 August, kick off 2.00pm at Kempston Rovers FC. The following Sunday, 24 August, the Ladies are at home again to Cambridge City Ladies and then, surprisingly, at home once more, on Sunday 31 August, to Stevenage Development Ladies:
