FF News
Andy Halls has praised the impact of the Macclesfield Town trialists throughout the summer. Four trialists were included for the game against Nantwich Town last weekend where the Silkmen won 3-0 at The Weaver Stadium. Ollie Norburn was shown as a trialist against Nantwich but has now signed a permanent deal at the Moss Rose. The other three consisted of PA Soulay, McKenzie Faulkner and Emmett O'Connor who all wanted to make a name for themselves. The three were once again involved in some capacity against Rochdale and Tuesday and new club captain Andy Halls spoke to mtfc.co.uk to express what he thought about the trialists. He said: "It's difficult to say how a trialist does. Obviously, strikers score goals but it's difficult as they try to impress as much as possible. Sometimes it is a case of more is less. "They've done well in training during the last couple of weeks and it's now up to the gaffer to make a decision on those players".
