FF News Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North club Scarborough Athletic have signed midfielder Alex Metcalfe on a dual-registration basis from Conference North side Harrogate Town. The 19-year-old has played sixteen games in total for Harrogate Town, making his debut back in April 2013 against FC Halifax Town and scoring his first goal against Ossett Albion in January 2014. Metcalfe has started three league games this season, also coming on three times as a substitute. His was previously with Harrogate Railway, where he won the Young Player of the Season award, followed by a spell at Ossett Albion. He appeared fifteen times for Albion, scoring once. Joint-manager Bryan Hughes said: "Alex was recommended to us and has found his chances limited at Harrogate Town in the Conference North, so we are delighted to bring him in."
