FF News Posted April 24, 2015 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Ashington’s appeal against removal from the Brooks Mileson Memorial League Challenge Cup will be heard by an FA panel in Newcastle at 10 30am on Wednesday April 29. Though the club admitted playing an ineligible player in the semi-final – in which they beat Newton Aycliffe 3-1 – they will claim mitigating circumstances and that the penalty was excessive. As things stand, the final is between Newton Aycliffe and Shildon at Bishop Auckland on Tuesday May 5 (7pm.)
