FF News
Pontefract Collieries chairman Pat Monaghan has announced that he will be standing down forthwith from his role at the club due to deteriorating health. A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Division One side said: "Pat has been battling ill-health for a number of years now and he is finding it increasingly difficult to sustain the onerous role of chairman which he has successfully undertaken for the last few seasons. "The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Pat for all the work that he has done over the years for the Colls, not only in his recent role as chairman, but also in previous seasons initially as a player and then as supporter and volunteer. "The search now begins for a new chairman and the club will be placing an advertisement in the press in the near future."
