George Bouhet has been dismissed as manager of Evo-Stik Southern Division One Central club North Greenford United

The Blues sit rock bottom of the league and their committee have taken action to halt their alarming start to the season.

A statement on the club website said:

"After recent poor results have left the club firmly rooted at the bottom of the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central table, the North Greenford committee have decided to part company with manager George Bouhet and his team.

The committee would like to place on record their sincere thanks to George, to coach Fitzroy McLeod and assistant Glen Harris for their contribution to the club not only after taking over First Team duties from Barry Morris following his resignation, but also for the work they did in supporting previous senior team managers. However, although we fully recognise their hard work, dedication and commitment during this period, we felt that it was in the best interests of the club to make these changes.

The committee have appointed two ex-Greenford players - Ricky Pither and Danny Bennell - as joint First Team managers. Both Ricky and Danny are highly experienced local non-league players. As well as making many appearances for the Blues, Ricky's previous clubs include Wembley, Wealdstone, Hanwell Town and Harefield United. Danny's previous clubs also include Hanwell Town as well as Hillingdon Borough and Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Ricky and Danny will be supported on the coaching front by another ex-Blue Chris Mills, an ex-QPR youth player who joined Chalfont St Peter after a spell at Hanwell Town before returning to play for the Geordies last season, and Mark Chandler who played for British Airways for many years.

We wish them all every success in their new roles"
