FF News
Alfreton Town FC manager Nicky Law has challenged his side to kick on from last weekend’s hard-gained 2-1 away win at high-flying Harrogate Town as the Reds head into a tough-looking set of fixtures up until the end of the year. The Reds boss wants his side to go into this Saturday’s Vanarama National League North home game against Boston United looking to start a run of form which will carry them into the top reaches of the division for the festive period. Law commented: “Every league fixture is a tough one but I think anybody can beat anybody in this division and, as I have said often before, it’s all about what we do. If we perform as we have done in our better performances this season on a more consistent basis, we will be ok. “It was a great performance from the lads last Saturday bearing in mind the rain-lashed conditions and quality of opposition. We just proved we can compete when we cut the errors out and we play to plan and our potential.” However, Law will be without experienced former England C international midfield man Dan Bradley for the important run up to the New Year. Bradley suffered a severe tear to his right hamstring in the 1-1 draw at AFC Telford United on October 31 and is expected to be out for at least another month. “Losing Dan Bradley is obviously a big blow to us. To be fair he hasn’t really got started this season due to suspension and injury so we will be all the better for his return” added Law. Bradley has had plenty of rest and is ready to start a rehabilitation project before he can build up to full fitness. It is hoped he will be available for the big games against promotion-chasing Solihull Moors and Tamworth over the festive period.
