Lambs star Durrell seeking home comforts

Tamworth's draw at Stockport County made it five League games without defeat for The Lambs as they displayed great character to come back from a goal down in front of a large crowd at Edgeley Park.

The Lambs equaliser came from Elliott Durrell, who is hoping that we can continue our unbeaten run at the weekend as we return to home soil for the visit of Gainsborough Trinity.

“Last weekend’s point at Stockport will be a good one if we can follow it up with a home win on Saturday,” he said. “We’ve only lost once in 17 League games, that’s a great record but we know that we have to turn some of the home draws into victories.

“We’ve certainly proved to be a difficult team to beat so far and hopefully that will continue.

“The lads work so hard for each other and it was that kind of spirit and determination which saw us come from behind at Stockport.

“It’s a tough place to go, particularly as there is always a large and vocal home support willing their team on, but we rolled our sleeves and I was pleased to get the equaliser.

“In the end we were disappointed not to bring home all three points, but our focus now is on overcoming the challenge that Gainsborough will present to us and ensuring that we get the win.

“We’re looking forward to the game and extending our unbeaten run.”
