Alfreton Town FC are inviting football fans from both near and far to bid for a limited number of unique pieces of Reds history over the next couple of weeks to help raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

The Reds are auctioning off their recent game-worn Remembrance Day tribute Poppy Kit with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

The stunning kit, featuring a fantastic poppy design shirt which has the immortal words 'Lest We Forget' across the top of the back of it, was kindly created by the club’s new kit producers, Ohio-based UN1TUS, and were worn just four times by the Alfreton Town team in games either side of Remembrance Day.

The shirts will not be worn again and are now up for grabs to the highest bidders as the Reds seek to help the tremendous work of the charity.

The club are holding an auction at the end of the forthcoming home league game against Bradford Park Avenue on Saturday, December 19th when the winning bids will be announced.

How to bid

Football fans interested in obtaining one of only eighteen available unique shirts – fifteen squad shirts and three goalkeeper jerseys in different colours – can bid in several ways.

Bids can be emailed to enquiries@alfretontownfc.com by text to 07780 472467 or phoned through the Impact Arena office on 01773 830277 – which is manned from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively, there is a 24-hour answerphone on that number as well.

Any individuals wishing to make a bid in person can do so with any club official working on the ground at both non-match days and match days and bids will also be taken in person at the home game on December 19th.

Persons making a bid by any of the club's media avenue’s should include their full name, exact bid, shirt number (if bidding for a specific shirt) and contact number.

The minimum bid per shirt is £50 (a limited amount of replica’s were on sale via the club shop recently at £40 each).
