Ebbsfleet United FC have confirmed that preliminary work on the new Stonebridge Road stand will start on 4th January, 2016.

There will be no disruption to supporters in the Liam Daish Stand as we aim to use the period between the start of January and the end of April to undertake a range of preliminary works such as the new electrical service connections required and the archaeological bore holes and much more.

Our objective is to have the newly-constructed stand open for spectators from the beginning of October 2016 with the lounges, the community hub and other facilities opening in early 2017. The £4.9m contract has been awarded to Trak Special Projects (TSP).

In his programme notes from Boxing Day, vice chairman Peter Varney wrote, “The new stand will transform Northfleet and the image of the club. Moreover, with the Ebbsfleet Garden City Development Corporation moving forward with their plans to build 15,000 new homes on our doorstep there will be opportunities we will be prepared to exploit to the full.”
