FF News
Hot on the heels of the departure of Dave Merris, Ossett Town boss Graham Nicholas has moved quickly to appoint Neil Jones as assistant manager of the football club. The pair worked together at Garforth Town and whilst Nicholas was keen to work with the coaches already at the club he did not think twice when approaching Jones when the vacancy arose. Nicholas has also appointed the returning Nick Wood as vice-captain. Wood has been missing since September with injury but has trained recently and is expected to be in the squad that travel to Spennymoor Town tonight. Wood started his career in the Juniors at Ossett Town before moving to Sheffield Wednesday, Mansfield and Tranmere before injury forced him to non-league. In his time Wood has made 88 appearances and scored twice from centre back. Source: Ossett Town FC Source
