The club announced the news via a statement on their website on Sunday It read: "Delighted to report that Basford Community Football Club have received confirmation of funding to convert the Main Stadia pitch of Greenwich Av to 3G In ground breaking news significantly funded by the Football Foundation, the fabulous news was received yesterday. Working closely with the Football Foundation, Notts FA and significant partners such as Nottingham City Council, the Environmental agency and the senior committee of Basford United FC ,then this project is the culmination of a dream to create a State of the art Community football Stadia solution. The Greenwich Avenue project represents a fabulous Stadia designed 3G Football solution that will allow & benefit Community Football inside the impressive Basford United FC main pitch stadia complex.
