Pissoles !

Posh bloke walks into the restaurant as is guided to a seat by the Maitre D'.

 

The Maitre D' flusters about his customer, clucking in an excruciating French accent and generally ensuring that he is comfortable and then produces the Menu and the Wine list before leaving.

 

The posh fellow peruses his menu and finds his mouth watering at the descriprion of one particular item ~ Pissoles ~ a fried dish of minced meats and spiced egg in a light pastry - Scrumptious !

 

He signals the Maitre D' and points to the entry in the menu "By George, this sounds just the ticket," he exclaims, "but I am unfamiliar with this dish... Where does the Pissole traditionally hail from ?"

 

The Maitre D' starts and glances concernedly at the entry on the menu to which the posh bloke is pointing

 

"Ahem M'sieu," he mangled "Ah'm afraid zis is err, how you say ? ... un spelling meestake, no ?"

And a little more confidently he continued " You zee, ze P should not be zere, it should be un R, yes ?"

 

[color:"red"] "Okay, okay, fine,"[/color] retorted the posh fellow [color:"red"] "I'll take your word for that... but now I'm very hungry, so you just run along and fetch me a portion of those arseoles and let's have a nice Chablis to be getting on with !"[/color]
