Question on Radio 5

Recommended Posts

I was listening to Radio 5 on the way to the match today and they asked the following question:

What can a goalkeeper get a yellow card for that an outfield player can't?

I thought it would be something to do with how long they hold the ball for. The answer given was that they can be booked for rolling up their sleeves. Apparently, the sleeve length is used by officials to make it easier to spot the keeper.

All the players today had long sleeves. Only one player had rolled their sleeves up - Ken Kamata.
