HFC' s Future Prospects

Recommended Posts

The progress this year with a mixture of last years promotion winning side and the new signings, has proven thus far a winning combination. However, there are lots of promising youngsters around, will they get the chance to move upwards?

I can see that you have baffled yourself with the post, us too but you probably mean, 'anyone particular in mind' .......No is the answer, just a general view hopefully prompting rational response.

because we have them watched everytime that they play and we get reports from the various managers and sometimes, believe it or not, we go and watch them ourselves, take it from me, there are several good youngsters out there that will make it, if they work hard enough of course, no guarantees in football old son. surely you know that!!!

we're fine Mr President, all looking forward to coming up there and sorting you lot out again on Saturday, we might have a little surprise for you as well, but you'll have to wait until saturday for that one. I see that our urchinettes have been playing on your webbie today, be careful there, naughty girls will get you into all sorts of mischief, believe me, I know!!! Good luck, see you all on saturday, and remember, we are never, never, ever, offside!!

the answer to your question is obvious, if young players show potential they are brought through and quickly, Nathan Elder is a good example, the danger however is what the young players do next, we haven't seen much of young Nath recently and I also understand that several young players have missed training from time to time. Once a young player has been given his chance, it is up to that youngster to take it, too many young players fall by the wayside, especially around the ages of 16 to 18. Shame, but its a fact.

Still don't understand Youths comment, he says about all the good youth players, says he goes to watch but still can't name any, I'm confused.

We should define "young players" as we have three or four 21 year olds in the first team squad. There are also 4 or 5 players in the first team who have came from the youth team so those that are good enough will come through in good time!

your only confused because your actually trying to be a smart [****!!****] and not at all constructive. It would not be wise to select or name young players on an open forum, I am sure that you can understand that. Fact is, if a player is good enough he will be selected, look at the positions of our four teams at the current time, proof positive of talent and potential. We also have to remember that the club and its new owners have not got around to reviewing the youth sides as yet but that will come. All bodes well for the future thats for sure.

the original post made no mention of who is or isn't in the first team and on that subject we don't have a first team we have a first team squad of 23 players and we will need it this year, I obviously don't need to tell you their names or how many of them are home grown, if I do you really don't belong in this debate.

No, the original post was related to the prospects of the youth teams players making the first team squad but obviously you have an axe to grind for some reason!!!wonder why?
