For fielding an ineligible player against us in our 1-1 draw.

Anyone know who the player was? If he was an unused sub then i think a 1 point deduction is fair but if he was involved in what was a very tight match then i`m not sure how docking them a point is the right outcome.

You could say a point deduction has punished them but we may have picked all 3 points if this player was not available. Plus the deduction has helped all the teams in the division while we were the only club he played against.

Believe it was Jeff Shepherd who is now playing for Great Wakering.

If it was Shepherd (a defender) he came on as sub in the 68th min.

To play an unsigned ringer is footballs biggest admin crime, one point! joke that determines only a loss of output for the game involved but no punishment (effective) the punishment should be a minimum 5 points and £1,000 and the original 3 points for the game should go to the opposition.

I`m not sure about the fine Pabird but the 1 point deduction seems a bit of a joke. The same rules should be applied at all times but in a division as tight as ours the difference of plus/minus 2 points could make all the difference at the end of the season.

I don't want to pick up points like that.
I think a one point deduction is a joke and three to five would have been more acceptable.

If you lost out on promotion or suffered relegation due to another clubs cheating it could cost you players and cash to a serious degree.
No one has said "cheating" but that is what they are doing, is it deliberate? of course it is and they are fully aware when that player takes his place in the team that they are fielding a ringer.

Well in that case these things should not be decided until all games have been completed. Until that point, it cannot be expected for a proper decision to be made.

Clubs must be aware from the outset that "ringers" will not be tolerated plus if you leave decisions until end of seasons it always comes down to which club representative has the most influence on various committees.

Surely that'll happen whenever the hearing is.
