Just like to thank Canvey Island FC for stopping Burnley from charging £6 now we have to pay £16 if we choose to watch the match ........Thanks!!!
Afer the sucess of the recent Grimsby match ( Fri night live tv ) where BFC charged £5 all areas the attendance was 18000+ this Saturday I doubt that there will be 3000 because I can tell you that the Burnley fans will be staying away in their droves. As a burnley fan a couldnt care less if we win or lose if you win good luck to you but if you loose it serves you right. I got a feeling that this decision is going to backfire on you . The boycot is on.

No need to offer your thanks - you might make the Canvey fans blush images/icons/wink.gif" border="0

c'mon guys W.hammer may be covering old ground, but the boards been quiet recently and we need some of our big 1st divvy.. sorry division.. brothers to liven things up..i think, from his statement, that there is a team called grimsby that are only worth a fiver but we warrant a mighty 6 notes.. and that geoff boycott may be 'on turf' as well.. im not to sure though as i only follow some regional bucket (and spade) of [****!!****] team and have no concept what so ever of big league footy.. so i would like to apolgise warSpanner.. on behalf of all of us images/icons/wink.gif" border="0

Just read my other post under the "RUINED" thread.
I can't be bothered to repeat it all, even if War-brain or Dick-Hammer or whatever his name is thinks his regurgitated views need duplicating.

If Burnley get promoted, will the supporters of Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc be expecting to get in for half price at the home game against them.
Its only Burnley, they will say, "can't expect us to pay top money to see that game".

Let's face it, Canvey Island have no chance! Burn;ey are a class above Northampton and Wigan and you will be run ragged on Saturday.

Now there speaks confidence. Burnley of the nationwide division 1 take on Canvey of the ryman league AT HOME. But have you got the bottle to go down the bookies, open up your wallet and put a whole £1 coin on the outcome of saturdays match.
THOUGHT NOT!

thor - good point.
And if the match is so one sided, you won't mind paying out a bit of wedge to see your team (presumably made up of reserves) score a hatful of goals.
Mind you, I'm neutral for this one - don't want to see you getting too big for your boots now, do we?
