Links to both the National Non League Show https://audioboom.com/channel/thenonleagueshow and the excellent one on BBC Three Counties Radio with presenter Ollie Bayliss that features our Club's within Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07k2mv8 The National Show on 13 September featured New Salamis and the great man, namely George Georgiou, was in the BBC Studio, ironically shortly before his unceremonious dismissal from the Club:

13th September 2019 - FA Vase, New Salamis, Stockport Town, Fort William and Non League Paper round-up

The Non League Football Show

Listen on Apple Podcasts

It's the second round qualifying round of the FA Vase and whilst the competition is exciting, Tim Fuell delves deeper into the clubs looking for glory this weekend, building non league communities and football clubs.

First up, manager at New Salamis, George Georgiou, leading a club that only a few years ago was a Sunday football side formed by fans of a Cypriot Pro clubs English fans.

Next, Alan Lord Head of Management at Stockport Town who look to continue their FA Vase this weekend. His is a muli-faceted role however as his day job is working as Director of Youth Development at neighbours Stockport County alongside Jim Gannon.

If you've not yet watched the BBC Scotland documentary available on BBC iPlayer you may not know the story of Fort William FC. Make sure you watch it but first listen to Secretary turned Manager Russell MacMorran who this week led his side to their first league win in two years. It's more than just a first team however in one of the most picturesque settings for football in the UK.

Matt Badcock Editor at Large helps round off the show with what you can expect to read in this weekend's Non League Paper.

The Fort William documentary is brilliant, some of the travelling those players do is unreal. Especially when they get walloped

The Ollie Bayliss show is also a good listen

On another note, I hope people have seen the Twitter video of Danny Webb’s free kick against Tring at the weekend. It has gone “viral” with 168k views and counting. Only partially due to the on screen finger pointing out the top corner it is due to hit!

I used to particularly enjoy the Non League Show when Caroline Barker hosted it as she was so knowledgeable about the Non League game due to being a big Chelmsford City fan and had a nice bedside manor with all the guests. She has gone on to bigger and better things now with the BBC but she could draw all kinds of interesting facts out of them and I remember when the so called Great One, Clement Temile, was on the show in Kentish Town's heyday, I'm sure it more than doubled the listeners that night with Kenny Dyer, the former Haringey Borough and Montserrat National team supremo, on the same show.

Big J R - I think he can certainly be described as a so called journeyman, there is a joke about some players having more Club's than Nick Faldo isn't there

Who listened to the fascinating Non League show yesterday evening on BBC Three Counties Radio with Codicote Chairman Jim Bundy talking about Crowdfunding, Mental Health issues and applying for promotion amongst other things, Mr Bundy has been with the Club seemingly forever as a player, Manager and now Chairman. Former Tring Athletic Chairman Howard Wells also spoke about why he decided to walk away from Cow Lane recently and Leighton Town were featured ahead of Saturday's FA Vase Fifth Round tie at Bradford Town:
