mascot (do you want one??)

As ive said in previous posts ive written to the club to see if they would want a mascot . (dressed in a costume) to date i have had no response. I would fund my wacky idea from my own pocket and any spare moey i have put aside going to the club. I thought id ask you the fans to see if you wanted a mascot. If you could reply to this wita yes or no and any ideas it would be gratefully recieved. Even if you think its a bad idea please let me know!!

Yeah, why not. It's an idea thats been mentioned a number of times and if you're serious & willing to do it, then fair play to you, my man. It's not anything like that mutant alien insect thingy that Farnborough had, is it??!!

ive done a bit of research and a lion or a shrimp??? they do some good quality stuf out there!! If anyone can help me let m know!! I could be the gravesend shrimp??!!!

You may jest but shrimps are part of Gravesend's heritage!!! I do admit to not being a native of the town but with the Shrimpers Reggatta just gone and a beer named Gravesend Shrimpers, it isn't hard for someone like me to work out a connection. Gravesendians like shrimps!! Go for the shrimp! I spoke to Glenn Aitkin about this last night, and he didn't seem opposed to the Idea.

Shrimp eh? Dunno about putting that image out there with our forward two at the moment lol.

I've just spoken to Glenn Aitken and he seems up for it got to see him tomorrow at the game.The shrimp is up and running.!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Any suggestions for a name welcome???????.I hope it becomes reality.

If we want to reach out to both younger fans and the vast asian community, the time has come for 'Sukvinder the Shrimp'.

 

You could even dress up as a shrimp and wear a turban as well.

 

What does everyone think...at least it would get the club loads of free publicity!

To incorporate a 'shrimp mascot' and something involving the Sikh community would be a very bold and brave move for the club.

If marketed correctly, the publicity and commercial spin-off's for the club could be immense. The media locally, and if approached correctly, nationally, would latch onto 'our' new initiative. A move like this would make massive inroads into the Sikh community, and would certainly not be deemed racist.

I have suceeded in bringing the Shrimp ( with a capital 'S'!!) to the attention of the masses!! majorman6, I will be selling 'Golden Goal' tickets at the gate tomorrow and I will willingly give you one (!!!!!!!!) free of charge(????!!!!!!)
